Never Enough Corn has 20 Steam achievements at launch — from your first harvested ear to completing every collection category and discovering the Corn of Creation. One of them is awarded for failing Seed Lab research five times.
Steam lists 20 achievements for Never Enough Corn, all live with the game. Every name and requirement below is the game's own wording, pulled from its Steam stats page on launch day.
No hidden achievements and no missable flags. The list also confirms three things the store page never mentions: outfits, scored minigames, and research that can fail.
The first-hour ones

Harvest milestones

These count ears harvested in total on that save file — not money, not weight. Trailer capacity moves the bar faster than tractor speed, which is why capacity is the upgrade that pays first.
Harmful corn

Harmful corn comes mixed into normal harvests, and one collection reward — Tree-Climbing Champions, −49.9% harmful corn chance — makes it rarer, so take that bonus after these ten ears. More on the collections page.
The Seed Lab trio

The middle one is the interesting entry: research can fail, and five failures earn you an achievement. More on the quest coins & Seed Lab page.
Requests and quests

Note the wording: **complete *and claim***. The Request Board is a purchase, so it gates all four.
Collection sweeps

The two long ones

Every Kernel in Place is the completionist benchmark, and its own description is the tell: it has to exclude outfits and minigame scores, which confirms both exist. Whether "all content" means collections, research and quests together is the reasonable reading.
Discover the Corn of Creation is the most mysterious entry. The game's headline pitch is a 0.00001% corn, and this achievement names a "Corn of Creation" — but nothing official says they are the same corn, so treat that link as unverified.
